Roofing Shingle Key Considerations

The roofing shingles are one of the most important building materials when doing a roof replacement. Roofing shingles come in a variety of materials, shapes, and colors. Picking the right shingle is much more than just selecting the right look. When choosing a roofing shingle, you want to consider the aesthetics, price, sustainability, utility, longevity, climate needs, and warranty.

Aesthetics

Roofing shingles can be made of different materials such as asphalt shingles, wood shake, etc.

The most popular shingle is the asphalt shingle. CertainTeed offers a variety of asphalt shingles that fall into three classes: strip shingle, dimensional, and luxury shingle.
